I Can’t Blog… I Don’t Know What To Write… (Broke Mentality)

Blog PostBefore I elaborate on the title of this post I want to quickly tell you about my friend.

…and don’t worry I’m not just going off on a crazy tangent, he is related to the post as you’ll soon find out.

You see my friend is currently jobless, and he has been for quite some time now due an injury he’s sustained.

(out of everything I've tried this is my #1 recommendation for making money)

It’s not so bad for him at the moment because he’s still receiving “sick pay”, but soon that’s about to stop – and he’s worried (as of course you would be).

Now we’ve been close friends for several years (around 12 to be precise), and he knows that I’ve been successfully generating an income online for quite some time.

He mentioned his concerns to me about his pay packet stopping, and naturally I offered to help. I told him that I could set him up with a “copy” of my business & that all he had to do was blog every day.

After all the best way to make money online is to find somebody making the money you want to make and then copy what they’re doing. Most people get caught up trying to re-invent the wheel, but seriously it’s that simple. Once you figure that out, that’s when you start making money online.

With my help I told him that I could “fast track” him to success, and have him earning around $3k by the end of the following month. That might sound surprising to some of you, but I’ve been in this game a while, I’ve failed a lot, and I’ve learned a lot, so nowadays I know the route to take to get things started quickly (and dodge those time-killing money-burning failure stages).

Sure $3k is a fair bit of money, and it wouldn’t necessarily be “easy peasy”, but I’d be doing all the work of setting it up and all he would have to do is blog.

I assumed that would sound attractive to him – I know if somebody said that to me, I personally would be very attracted to that deal.

But his response was…

“I can’t blog”…

Naturally, (in quite a shock at what I’d heard) my response was something like “huh?”, to which he responded…

“I’m no good at writing, I wouldn’t know what to write about”…

I was amazed at what I’d heard, but he was my friend so I let it slide. I didn’t want to pressure our friendship & if he didn’t want the money, that’s cool – I was only trying to help.

However since then I’ve gone on to hear so many other people say the exact same thing.

Everyday people come to me asking what the best way is to generate traffic & make money online, and my answer will always include something along the lines of “start a blog and blog daily”.

It’s the truth and I will stand firmly and say it’s good advice, because as a blog owner each time you publish a new post you’re creating virtual “real estate”. The more real estate you have, the more chance you have of somebody finding you (or “knocking at your door” in our real estate example). Makes sense right?

Success QuoteThat’s why starting a blog & blogging daily is one of the biggest income building activities you can be doing online. The bottom line is that blogging is easy and no matter what you say I’ll tell you right now that anybody can do it, so get rid of all those excuses.

I’ll be honest, whenever I hear somebody say the words “I can’t blog”, or “I don’t know what to write about” it makes me feel a little bit sad inside.

Nobody is “born” a blogger, it’s just something that comes with practice. But you’ll certainly never be able to blog if you’re never willing to get started.

My first posts we’re embarrassing, which is why they’ve been deleted – but the point I want to make is that everybody starts somewhere.

Don’t compare your beginning to somebody else’s middle.

The real question is how do you know you can’t blog until you’ve tried?… Just like how do you can’t play football until you’ve kicked a ball?

The answer is you don’t.

Learn Outside Your Comfort ZoneWhich means when people tell you they can’t blog, what most of them are actually saying is that they can’t be bothered to blog.

You see just going back to the example of my friend again, he was dreading his pay packet stopping, and he wanted money so badly, yet wasn’t really willing to do anything that seemed like “work” to actually obtain it.

He was all up for me helping him generating $3k each month until I mentioned the words “you’ll just have to….”, and then the glimmer in his eye disappeared.

“Oh, I have to do something?” I could see him thinking.

And that’s the biggest problem with making money online – too many people don’t give it the seriousness it deserves. It’s very easy to build an income online if you’re just willing to approach it with the right attitude and action.

Unfortunately though too many people think that the internet can provide a way for them to make money without actually doing anything, and then become disappointed when they realize they actually have to do some “work”…

As much as all wish life worked that way, in reality it doesn’t – and people need to realize that.

Everybody has the chance to become successful, but only a handful ever will…

…and that’s not because they don’t have the right skills, but because they don’t have the right mindset.

So it’s time to ask yourself, are you the person that says “I can’t blog”, or are you the person that says “I might not be able to blog, but I can sure as heck try”?

Are you the person that sits waiting for your situation to change by itself or are you the person that does something about it to make it change?

Because you are in full control of your situation, and the best way to predict your future is to create it.

So one thing I don’t want to hear is people telling me they can’t blog – and if they do, then they’ll be getting sent straight to this post…

But do you know the funniest thing?

Most of them probably won’t ever reach the end, because if they’re stuck in the “broke mindset” then they’ll probably give up half way through.

The bottom line…

Don’t be a quitter, and don’t make excuses. You can do it, just believe in yourself, and most importantly – try.

Here’s something for you to think about…

Winners VS Losers
